There are a lot of churches out there but they don't all look the same. Our goal in all that we do as a church is to please Christ first. As a result, every Sunday is an opportunity for an inspiring time of worship. If possible, try to arrive a few minutes early to get acquainted with our facility. Once you arrive, we will have parking lot attendants and greeters ready to help you. They will be available to help you grab a cup of coffee and direct you where you want to go. As a first time attender, it is our honor to serve you. If there is anything you need, you can let a nearby host, or usher know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Here are answers to some common questions you may have as you plan your first visit:

Where are you?

Whether you live in Memphis, Bartlett, Cordova, Arlington, or the surrounding areas, our church is easy to find. We are located at 7054 St. Elmo, Bartlett, TN, Easthill Baptist Church. St. Elmo is off of Kirby Whitten, just two traffic lights from Stage Road (Highway 64). We are on St. Elmo between Oak Road and Kirby Whitten.

What should I expect?

First, expect a grace--centered environment. You don't have to have it "all together" in order to fit in. Easthill is filled with regular, every day people who have struggles and questions about life. You don't have to worry about being different or being evaluated by others. We are a diverse group of people with commonality in Jesus Christ.

Second, expect a gospel--focused environment. Our ministry is not defined by pointless tradition or preferential issues. Our focus is the gospel of Jesus Christ and how it changes lives in this culture.

Third, expect a Christ--honoring environment. The audience of worship is Jesus Christ, not man. Our music is inspirational and enjoyable, and the Bible messages are simple, scriptural and straightforward.

What are the services like?

Every service at Easthill is prayerfully planned so that you will have a great worship experience. The services are filled with passionate worship and practical Bible teaching. Each service, whether at 10:30 am or 5:30 pm, kicks off with a time of worship that will stir your heart and exalt Christ followed by a Bible-centered message that is honest and challenging, empowering you to apply Jesus' words to your daily life. At the end of service we have an invitational altar call to give you the opportunity to act upon what God spoke to you about. Then we wrap up with a few announcements and close in prayer.

Our mid-week service is designed to equip and refresh believers in the middle of a busy work week. The Wednesday service structure is laid back. Our adults meet for bible study in the fellowship hall and our children's activities take place in our Kid City upstairs.

What about the music?

We think it's awesome! During our services, we sing traditional songs & hymns. Specials by our choir and others are also a blessing. In any given service, you will hear truth filled hymns and songs that exalt Christ.

What do you have for my children and teens?

We offer child care in our first-class nursery, that is safe, clean and fully staffed for children three years old and younger during every service at Easthill.

Awana truth seekers is the K4 through 6th grade Children's Church Ministry at Easthill on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. The kids have a tailored worship service just for them which includes singing, classic Bible stories, skits and games. Each child is challenged on their own level with the truth of scripture.

Kid City is our mid-week program for children 4 years through 6th grade. They meet at 7:00 pm on Wednesday nights upstairs for an exciting, fun time.

Our students, 7th through 12th grade, meet for Teen group on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am. This is a special time of Bible study and worship geared to meet the needs of your teens.

What are connect groups?

Connect Groups are Sunday school classes that meet at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings. These are age/life stage appropriate Bible study groups for all ages from 4 years old and up.

Will I be asked to do anything?

We like to recognize new visitors so everyone who attends Easthill will receive a connection card during the service. You will be asked to fill this out with your information to let us know a little bit about you. Fill out as much information as you feel comfortable with and please include any prayer requests you may have. When you have done so either drop the card in the offering plate or give it to one of our Deacons. You will in no way be contacted except through mail.

What if I have more questions?

If you still have questions that we did not answer above, feel free to call the church office at 901.842.0040 any time or email your question to us from our contact page. Whether you are new to the area or just looking for a church, we trust your first visit to Easthill Baptist Church will be an enjoyable one. We hope to meet you and your family very soon!
